The weather was great, below freezing but clear, so we went to Stvořidla, which was below the 6 cc limit. So we tested the imperviousness of our packrafts perfectly.
In the morning in Světlá nad Sázavou the wind is fresh and it feels really cold. A gentleman on the bridge by the station announces, "You don't want to go to Stvořidla!" But we know that water is scarce. A meagre 5.76 cc. But come on, he won't give it to us.
Right after the dam in Světlá we jump on our asses on the crown and on the stones below it and we are already making our way past the car wash at the end of the town (where does the water from the car wash go?) towards the Foglar region.
I am testing neoprene gloves from Hiko, but I freeze more in them than without gloves, so I choose the freezer version. The rapids above Smrčná are almost without water and I get my hands frozen to minus ninety when pushing off the rocks, so I need to take a tea break above Stvořidly. From then on it's fine without gloves.
Another great stuff is backpack Ortlieb Atrackwhich we also have in test mode. Waterproof 45l pack with TIZIP opening and packed with lots of gadgets is really great for one-day packrafting swings. A detailed article will follow.
The creatures are on the limit, but you can still get through them with packrafts without too much trouble. We scrub often, but with more intensity.
Honza is testing his new Trampwhich we made especially for him for his two meters and 120 kilos with an inside length of 155 cm and 840D floor. He sits in the boat like a pasha and his Spartan heart, hardened by the many daggers of Galatasaray Istanbul supporters, melts at the beauty of the winter blasts.
Můj My Eddy HC with HC floors manages sharp stones of Stvořidla with no problem at all of course. s HC podlahou tento HC výlet zvládne samozřejmě taky bez problému.
Originally we wanted to go all the way to Ledec, but the train was not our friend, so we end up traditionally in Sunny Bay, which is gouged out by a mole that doesn't look at the winter. Then it's just a train back from Vilémovice.
It was a beautiful day, not that it wasn't. No need to make it flow brutally. It's always nice on the water...

Practical advices for every packrafter
This is the machine we needed. An electric pump that inflates a packraft in under two minutes! With Flextail we have been inflating our packrafts since the very beginning, but the new MAX Pump 3 is even more powerful than its counterpart. It can deliver up to 500 litres per minute at 5 kPa and you can really inflate your boat with it.
Trying out any of our models is no problem at all. Just call us, pick up and get started, for example, in the canal in Český Vrbný. This week Michal and Jitka came by and had a great time with Eddy and Tramp packrafts.
With kids, packrafting takes on another awesome dimension. Whether you go on an adventure on calm water or on a river, it's always worth it. The problem kids have in packrafting is that they have a hard time reaching the water through the wider tubes with a kayak paddle. If they're learning to paddle on, say, a calm
