A whopping 17 degrees in late October meant quick action. We originally wanted to go to the Teplá Vltava, but unfortunately it was three centimetres less passable. The alternative solution was my favourite section from Zlatá Koruna.
We take the train from Budějovice and in half an hour we are jumping off in Zlatá Koruna. Just run down, inflate the packrafts and we're already greasing down.
As part of our never ending Ultima Packraft test, we took Tramp and Eddy to witness the unprecedented. Huge campsite in the Golden Crown - zero people, meadow at Placek by Rohan - no one, Celt's - no one, Girl's Stone - all alone. And so on and so on to Borsov.
Then just an early evening train back, hang the boat in the air at home, a beer in hand and off we go.
A great day on the water. I couldn't have asked for more...
